Heyta By Way of Intro
Victor Khulile Nxumalo has a strong and diverse experience in television production, social research, communications and media industries in South Africa. I currently consult, while I develop my current film and television projects. I work mainly as Creative/ Series Producer. Companies include a Urban Brew Studios and Dzuguda Productions.
I did my time at the SABC. However, my career in television, media and broadcasting covers the skills in:
I worked as well as Senior Communication Officer in the Gauteng Provincial Government for the Office of the MEC for Local Government early in my career.
At the SABC I led and contributed on successful titles that include Khumbul' Ekhaya, Afro Cafe, Jika Majika, Wild Talk and in Drama- Zone 14 and the adaptation of Shakespeare's Romantic Comedies.
A Bachelor of Social Science degree in English and Psychology at the University of Cape Town, an Honours degree in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Natal, a Post-Grad Diploma in Media and Film at the University of the Witwatersrand.
I am studying with Wits Drama For Life at the moment.
His debut collection of poems "ten flapping elbows, mama" was published by deepsouth 2004. His poetry continues to be published in journals in South Africa, the UK, the USA and Canada. His second book "fhedzi" was published in 2013.
